Flooding Caused By Torrential Downpour Washed Away Vehicles In Balıkesir
In Bigadiç district of Balıkesir, floods caused by a downpour that started in the evening dragged some vehicles.
Following the warning of the General Directorate of Meteorology, there was a heavy downpour in the district center in the evening hours.
Flooding in a stream due to the downpour caused some vehicles to be washed away.
Several vehicles and basement houses were damaged as a result of the flooding.
Balıkesir Governor Hasan Şıldak also visited the district and made inspections. In a statement made on his social media account, Şıldak said, “We followed the rapid intervention made by our municipality, fire brigade and AFAD teams to the flooding incident that occurred due to excessive rainfall in Bigadiç District in the evening hours.”
