Europe’s Largest Nuclear Power Plant Is Burning!

On the 9th day of the operation initiated by Russia, a fire broke out in Zaporizhzhia, Europe’s largest nuclear power plant, as a result of the conflicts in Ukraine.

If there is an explosion in Zaporizhzhia, a threat 10 times greater than Chernobyl will arise,” said Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kuleba.

EUROPE’S LARGEST NUCLEAR POWER PLANT

Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant is known as the largest nuclear power plant in Europe and one of the 10 largest nuclear power plants in the world. In the early days of the Russia-Ukraine war, Russian forces in the north of the country took control of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant.

Ukraine, which has 15 active nuclear reactors in 4 facilities in the country, provides about half of its electricity from these power plants.

Saying that ‘the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant opened fire from all directions’, Kuleba stated that ‘the Russian army should stop the fire as soon as possible and ensure the safety of the firefighters’.

It was stated that Russian tanks entered a town near the power plant yesterday evening.

FIRE IN NUCLEAR FACILITY

It has been reported that a fire broke out as a result of the clashes in the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant, the largest power plant in Europe, to which Russian forces approached in Ukraine.

In the live broadcast of the security cameras of the power plant on YouTube, explosions and mutual shooting lights were seen in the power plant area at night. After the explosions, the smoke from the power plant area was reflected in the cameras.

In a statement, Enerhodar Mayor Dmitriy Orlov, where the power plant is located, called for an immediate end to the attacks on the power plant.
