Elon Musk: “Tesla’s Next Generation Car Will Not Need Humans”

Elon Musk, CEO of electric car maker Tesla, said in a statement that the next-generation small car the company is working on will operate almost completely autonomously.

Elon Musk said in a statement he made the other day that Tesla’s next car will operate in “almost fully autonomous mode”, similar to his promise in 2020. On the other hand, although these words of Musk, who are said to make all the cars produced since 2016 autonomous, are far from convincing, it is reported that the new generation vehicle in question will come with a new platform.

Almost Fully Autonomous Vehicle Coming From Tesla

While Tesla announced its plan to create a new vehicle platform that will be more efficient in production at its event last week, many people were disappointed that Tesla did not go into details about the vehicle models that will be based on this new platform. However, the company’s CEO, Elon Musk, said at a conference he attended a while ago that vehicles built on Tesla’s next-generation platform will operate in “almost fully autonomous mode.”

Musk spoke as if people would rarely need to get behind the wheel of the vehicle. Therefore, Tesla’s electric “robotaxy” came to mind. Although Musk does not specify any date in his statements, his statements seem suitable for robotaxis plans. If it will move in a certain route, Tesla robotaxes can be completely autonomous as said.

However, if Musk’s statements are not for robotaxis, it may be talking about the $ 25,000 automobile promise that was said in 2020. Musk said at the time that this very affordable vehicle would be fully autonomous. This car, which costs almost half of the Model 3, may be related to the new production model Tesla announced last week. On the other hand, it seems like time is needed for the information to become a little more concrete.
