Electric Cars at TEKNOFEST

Electric vehicles named “Safrantech” and “Karaşimşek”, produced by high school students in Karabuk, were entitled to participate in the TEKNOFEST 2022 exhibition to be held in Samsun on 30 August-4 September.

“Safrantech” produced by Safranbolu Ahi Evran Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School students and the electric vehicle named “Karaşimşek” produced by Karabük Vocational Education Center students, International Efficiency Challenge organized by TÜBİTAK on 19-24 July in Kocaeli within the scope of TEKNOFEST Aviation, Space and Technology Festival. He participated in the Electric Vehicle Races.

Students who were successful in the races got the right to participate in the TEKNOFEST 2022 exhibition to be held in Samsun.

Nevzat Akbas, the Provincial Director of National Education, stated that the administrators, teachers and students of both schools were working feverishly in the production of electric vehicles.

Noting that students gained significant experience in this process, Akbas said, “We also witnessed this process. Our handcrafted electric vehicles set out for Samsun after Kocaeli. With the great support of our Governor Fuat Gurel and the significant contributions of our charitable business people, both of our vehicles will compete in the competition. “There is great effort and great support here. With all this support and the outstanding efforts of our teachers and students, both of our vehicles were entitled to participate in the TEKNOFEST exhibition to be held in Samsun. We are happy and proud,” he said.

Akbas noted that he will continue to create projects that will benefit the society by integrating the social responsibility awareness of teachers and students with their technological knowledge and experience.
