  1. I have a residence permit of 1 year but i got job offer from a different city of my residence. So, can i apply with my previous city residence permit for work permit or first i have to change my city address? Thanks.

    1. Hello,
You do not need to obtain new residence permit in the city you will work in to be eligible for work permit application. Once you obtain work permit and start working in another city and move there you will only need to register your address in local directorate of Population.

      Kind Regards,

  3. Thank you so much for your helpful answer, I rated u Five stars on google maps reviews. I have one more question about this rule:
“validity of your passports must be at least two months longer than validity of your work permit. For example, if your passport is only valid for 12 months upon the starting date of work permit, the permit can be granted for maximum 10 months”
does this rule apply to other kinds of residence permits too?. my wife is Turkish, so if I apply for family residence permit also I will get visa two months shorter than my passport validity ?? or its different case?

    Thanks in advance.

  4. Hello, I am an engineer who is working abroad. I got a job offer from turkey. I want to apply for a work permit from the embassy, I would like to know how long the duration of my visa will be when I receive it. will it be three years permit or one year for the first time I am applying? and in the second year if it is a one year permit when I renew it it will be another one year or two years or three years permit?.
as the visa duration is very important for me because my passport will expire after one and a half years after applying and due to some issues with my home country I can renew it only after one year from the expiry date. that’s why it is important for me to know how long the duration of the visa for the first time I get it and when I renew it?
    thanks a lot

thank you for this useful information. I have a question. I am an Egyptian who is working in japan currently, and I am married to a Turkish wife. I am planning to move to live and work in turkey. the question is when I go to turkey which is better to go with a tourist visa and apply for family residence permit and then change it to a work permit or from the beginning to apply for a work permit before going to turkey? (knowing that i have already found a job in turkey)

  6. The article was very helpful thanks. But I have a question.
I have an AIESEC Internship visa currently. My employer has agreed to give a new contract. Can I switch my Visa in Turkey or should I exit the country to change my visa status to work visa? Also is Level 6 Diploma from a UK university recognised in Turkey?
    Thank You

  7. Hi,

Thank you for your helpful responses. I have a job offer in turkey and I’m studying about the VISA procedure. I would like to apply for my wife’s VISA alongside my application. would you please give me information on it? Do I need to apply for her separately? what documents should I provide to the Embassy in my home country? and is it possible if she applies for a tourist VISA at the time and then after our arrival, she starts for the dependant’s VISA there?

Your response would be really appreciated.

    Regards,
