Did Israeli Police Drown a Palestinian Child?

It was claimed that the video shared by a Twitter account on 8 January 2023 showed the moment when the Israeli police strangled a Palestinian child to death.

The Incident Occurred in Sweden in 2015

Video showing a security guard immobilizing a child who uttered the word-i-shahada using violence has been circulating on social media since 2017, with the claim that Israeli police strangled a Palestinian child to death. In the post on January 8, it was claimed that the incident took place in front of the US Embassy in Jerusalem on January 7, 2023. When the screenshots taken from the video are searched in reverse on search engines, it is concluded that the video took place in Sweden in February 2015. In the news of France 24 Observers dated February 11, 2015, it was stated that two children, aged 9 and 12, were caught by a Swedish private security guard while trying to travel without a ticket at the train station in Malmö, Sweden. The Local, a news website based in Sweden, reported that a police investigation was launched against the security guards who neutralized children by using violence.

According to the news in Svergie Radio, children aged 9 and 12 came to Sweden without their parents or other family members before the incident and were placed in a nursing home until their asylum application was concluded. After this incident at the central station in Malmö, the children disappeared without a trace. In the news published on February 17, 2015, it was stated that both children were in Denmark and were under the supervision of social workers. As claimed in the allegation, the child who was subjected to violence did not lose his life.

The video was shot at the central train station in Malmö, Sweden, in February 2015. Two migrant children trying to travel without a ticket were subjected to violence by private security. The children who lost their traces in Sweden after the incident were last found in Denmark.
