Cities: Skylines 2 Coming to Game Pass from Day One!

Developed by Colossal Order, Cities: Skylines has managed to become quite popular since its release. Now, Cities: Skylines 2, the sequel to the original game, has been announced.

Developer Colossal Order and publisher Paradox Interactive have announced Cities: Skylines II, the sequel to 2015’s Cities: Skylines. The long-awaited game finally comes to the next generation with next-gen graphics.

What Will Cities: Skylines 2 Be Like?

Announced during the recently held Paradox Announcement Show 2023, Cities: Skylines 2 promises a “revolutionary” return, giving players the tools to “build any city imaginable and track its growth from a humble village to a bustling metropolis.”

It’s currently unclear what the game’s promises are based on, but Paradox says its game, which it calls “the most open-ended city-building space on the planet”, will allow players to “create and maintain vibrant cities like never before.”

For this purpose, it is mentioned that in addition to richer construction and customization options, more realistic transportation and economy systems will be in Cities: Skylines 2. Colossal Order also says that they will offer advanced modding capabilities to ensure Cities: Skylines 2’s longevity.

When Will Cities: Skylines 2 Release?

Cities: Skylines 2 will launch for Xbox Series X/S, PC and PS5 in late 2023. Cities: Skylines 2 will also be coming to Game Pass from day one. The game is not expected to be released in the previous generation. You can watch the game’s launch video below.
