Developed on the Shanhai Cannon model, Cannon CyberP!ckup; With its muscular body, off-road suspension and five electronically controlled differential locks, it’s a beast.
At the Shanghai Motor Show, where electric cars are in the majority, interesting vehicles are also appearing. We can put the “CyberP!ckup” model signed by Great Wall Motors (GWM) among these vehicles.
CyberP!ckup, reminiscent of Tesla Cybertruck with its name; It manages to attract attention with its muscular body design, 6×6 drive system and PHEV, or rechargeable hybrid system. The model in question was developed in collaboration with GWM’s Co-Creation division and Chaojing Motors.
CyberP!ckup is based on the manufacturer’s standard pickup model, Shanhai Cannon. The most visible change is of course the addition of the third axle. 18-inch wheels surrounded by 33-inch Cooper Discoverer all terrain tires are equipped with a comprehensive suspension system with nitrogen shock absorbers.
According to the manufacturer’s statement, CyberP!ckup is China’s first 6×6 model. The hybrid system, including the 3.0-liter twin turbo engine, produces a total of 510 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque. The vehicle has five locked differentials, while power is transmitted to all six wheels. It is stated that CyberP!ckup has a pure electric driving range of around 50 kilometers.
Apart from the number of wheels and infrastructure modifications, there are also a lot of cosmetic touches in CyberP!ckup. Wide fenders, a black grille with a large LED light signature, and a bumper with large air intakes are among the first striking details in the design. At the back, vertical stops and a two-piece cover stand out.
