Can Foreigners who Applied for International Protection in Turkey Make Another Application Again?

First of all, it should be reminded that as a rule, foreigners who have applied for international protection in Turkey have the right to make another application again. It is possible for foreigners who have made an application for international protection before and then given up and returned to their country, to return to Turkey and apply for international protection in case of situations where they will apply for international protection. However, in the new application, the foreigner may be requested to document that the necessary conditions for international protection have been met, because the return of the foreigner who has applied for international protection before can be considered as a sign that the negative conditions have disappeared.

However, if the General Directorate of Migration Management decides that there is no new development or other reason for the foreigner’s application to be taken again, it may qualify the application as “inadmissible”. Accordingly, we can easily say that foreigners must have a valid reason and justification for re-applying for international protection. Applications determined as inadmissible will not be reprocessed. However, in any case, if the foreigners present a valid reason, they can request the evaluation of the international protection application again.
