Butterfly Valley is a valley which is located within the boundaries of Oludeniz, Mugla province, Fethiye district. The valley, located on the foothills of Babadag, which is one of the 100 mountains proposed to be protected as a world heritage due to its endemic species, was declared a 1st degree natural site on 8 February 1995 and was closed to all kinds of construction. Surrounded by steep rocky walls reaching 350 meters, the Valley takes its name from more than 80 species of butterflies and especially tiger butterflies. The waterfall, which is located in the Faralya neighborhood and spilled from a height of 50 meters, reaches the Mediterranean Sea with a stream passing through the middle of the Valley.

The unique geographical structure of the Butterfly Valley is the subject of the examination and laboratory studies of the vegetarian and permanent scientific circles, especially botanists and entomologists; It attracts the attention of national and international environmental organizations and ecological formations. A facility has been built in order to protect natural life in Butterfly Valley and to implement the projects by taking the necessary measures for this. The facility, which offers its visitors accommodation in tents and tree houses, has a daily capacity of 500 guests and besides doing ecological agriculture on 100 decare land of Butterfly Valley; It carries out projects on purification, sea cleaning and clean energy. Transportation to Butterfly Valley is provided by boats departing from Oludeniz. A pathway from the Faralya (Uzunyurt) neighborhood reaches the Valley; However, due to the rope climbing routes and variable surface, it should be done with a guide.

Transportation:

It is enough to come to Fethiye to visit Butterfly Valley. You can use the Buses depart from Istanbul, Ankara and many other centers to Fethiye.

To reach the Butterfly Valley from Fethiye, you must first take the minibuses passing in front of the bus station to Oludeniz and from Oludeniz beach to the valley service boat. Those who want to go to the valley outside of boat hours can call the valley and request a special service with a zodiac boat.
