Beydağları National Park is located on the borders of Kemer and Kumluca districts of Antalya, with its impressive atmosphere blending nature and historical texture. The region, which is one of the most impressive places between the ancient geographies of Pamphylia and Lycia coasts, with its magnificent natural beauties, unique culture and rich historical past, has been in the status of a national park since 1972. The national park which is in starting point of Beydağı, is hosting the Turkey’s popular routes such as the ancient Lycian Way, Cirali Beach, Yanartas, Adrasan Beach. The forest formed by green-red pines and cedars starts from the summit of the harsh mountains rising to the sky and goes down to the deep blue Mediterranean coves. Beydağları National Park is and one of the places that come to mind first when it comes to summer holiday. It stretches along the coast. The national park, where blue and green are almost intertwined and offers spectacular views along the way, is one of the important values of Antalya. One of the most important animal species living in the region is the endangered caretta carettas. Çıralı beaches around the National Park are one of the most important spawning areas for caretta carettas. The national park, popular with its natural beaches, ancient cities, forested areas and beautiful bays and attracted by visitors especially in spring and summer, is also a favorite of travelers and tourists who are interested in camping and nature sports besides history and culture trips. There are also three camping areas such as Göynük, Kındılçeşme and Göynük Canyon, hiking trails, viewing points that reveal the fascinating view of the Mediterranean, rock climbing areas and paragliding points that attract adrenaline enthusiasts. Olympos, Phaselis and Idyros ancient cities are located on the coastal part of the national park, which stretches for 100 kilometers. Olympos Ancient City is one of the most famous touristic addresses of Beydağları National Park. The ancient city, which took its name from Tahtalı Mountain, formerly known as Olympos Mountain, was one of the six cities in the Lycian Union that had three voting rights. Olympos Ancient City, which is divided into two by the Akçay (Olympos) Stream passing through it, was an important port city of the region with this feature.

How to get to Beydağları National Park

Beydağları National Park covers a large area within the borders of Antalya’s Kumluca and Kemer districts. The closest airport to the national park, which can be reached by road or air from outside the city, is Antalya Airport, which serves in Antalya. From here, you can reach the national parks by private vehicles or Kemer buses.
