According to the 2023 results of the World University Rankings of Times Higher Education, one of the most prestigious rating institutions in the world, Oxford continued its tradition and took its first place this year. Only 3 universities from Turkey entered the top 500.
Times Higher Education (THE), one of the most prestigious rating institutions in the world, shared the results of the ‘World University Ranking 2023’. Oxford, which has been the best university in Europe and the world for 7 years, did not break the tradition this year. Oxford was followed by Harvard, Cambridge, Stanford and Massachusetts.
THERE ARE 3 UNIVERSITIES FROM TURKEY
In the list of 1799 institutions represented by 61 universities, the most successful universities in Turkey were Çankaya, Koç and Sabancı Universities in the 401-500 band. Thus, Turkey was represented by 3 universities in the top 500. Middle East Technical University (METU) entered the list between 501-600. Between the years 601-800, Bahcesehir University, Hacettepe University and Istanbul Technical University from Turkey took place.
There are six universities from Turkey between 801-1000: Bilkent University, Bogazici University, Duzce University, Firat University, Istanbul Medeniyet University and Ozyegin University.
