A park that will not leave anyone indifferent

Today we will talk about a place that is famous not only as a historical object, but also as a place to relax. Its name is Yildiz Park. It is located in the Besiktas area, it is quite difficult not to see it, because it has a fairly large territory.

Initially, the park was built on the territory of the palace and was part of its garden, which could only be visited by members of the Sultan’s family. By order of Sultan Abdul Hamid II, the park was surrounded by high walls and separated from everyone. The garden was truly admired, small summer houses, waterfalls, an artificial pond, as well as a porcelain factory were built in it.

It is quite easy to get to the park, it is only 10 minutes by walk from the Besiktas marina. As soon as you approach the park gate, you will immediately see security and parking place. At the entrance to the park, you can immediately sit comfortably in the picnic area and spend time at the morning brunch. There are 2 artificial ponds in the park, as well as interesting flora throughout. The review begins with small ponds with fountains, and then you can see a variety of flowers and unusual trees. There are several interesting bridges in the park where you can take beautiful photos. Also for convenience, there is a public toilet in the park, several sports areas, as well as a children’s area.

Among the plants of the park you can see magnolia, laurel, cersis and horse chestnuts, pine, oak, cedar and ash. For entertainment, you can bring food for ducks, a separate house on the lake is made for them.

We strongly recommend all people coming to Istanbul to visit Yildiz Park and enjoy the atmosphere of relaxation from the hustle and bustle of the city. The park is beautiful at any time of the year.
