Here are the highlights of those events:
1-Gülşen’s Arrest
The Ministry of National Education initiated legal action against Gülşen for the words she said about the imam hatip high schools at her concert on August 25, 2022.
Singer Gülşen, who was investigated on the charge of “inciting the public to hatred and hostility or insulting them”, was arrested on the same day.
After her statement in court, Gülşen was arrested and sent to Bakırköy Women’s Closed Prison.
The appeal against Gülşen’s detention was decided on 29 August 2022. The singer, who was placed under house arrest, was released after the verdict.
The house arrest warrant was also lifted for Gülşen, who was released on the condition of “not leaving the house” on September 12. However, Gülşen’s travel ban was not lifted.
On October 26, Gülşen’s travel ban was lifted.
2-Marriage and Divorce of Hadise-Mehmet Dinçerler
On January 20, 2022, Hadise received a marriage proposal from her lover Mehmet Dinçerler. The pop singer, who answered ‘yes’, shared the video of her hugging Dinçerler and showing her ring on her social media account.
Hadise and Mehmet Dinçerler got married on April 30, 2022 in Çırağan Palace. At the ceremony, which was closed to the press, guests were forbidden to take photos.

3-Kivanc Tatlitug Became a Father
Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ and Başak Dizer, who got married in Paris in 2016, had a baby boy named Kurt Efe on April 15, 2022.

4-Wedding of Seda Sayan-Çağlar Ökten
Seda Sayan, 59, announced on February 14 that she received a marriage proposal from 34-year-old Çağlar Ökten.
The wedding of the couple, which was planned to be held in Prague in May, took place in Istanbul on April 24 due to the problems experienced by Seda Sayan’s team regarding visa issues.
Safiye Soyman and Esra Özmen were the wedding witnesses for Seda Sayan, and Faik Öztürk and Fuat Özdolgun for Çağlar Ökten. Close friends of the couple attended the wedding.

5-Murder of Şafak Mahmutyazıcıoğlu
On January 27, 2022, lawyer Şafak Mahmutyazıcıoğlu, wife of former Beşiktaş coach and presenter Ece Erken, was attacked by unidentified people in a fish restaurant in Bakırköy district of Istanbul.
Şafak Mahmutyazıcıoğlu, who was taken to the hospital after the attack, could not be saved despite all the interventions and died.
It turned out that Şafak Mahmutyazıcıoğlu’s murder was committed due to mediation worth 65 thousand liras.
6-Marriage of Müge Anlı
On 20 June, Müge Anlı, the host of the ‘Tatlı Sert’ program, announced on live broadcast that she would marry Şinasi Yüzbaşıoğlu, Director of the Istanbul Police Public Security Branch.

İbrahim Tatlıses, who was stuck in the vehicle that rolled into the stockade after the accident, was rescued as a result of the long efforts of the teams. Tatlıses’ daughter Elif Ada, who was in the minibus, was also rescued with the help of medical teams.

Merve Bolugur married her DJ lover Mert Aydın on October 2, 2022, after a short-term relationship.

10-The Death of Cüneyt Arkın
Cüneyt Arkın, the legendary name of Turkish cinema, passed away on 28 June at the age of 85.
Cüneyt Arkın, who left his mark on Turkish cinema and starred in hundreds of films, received many awards.
Arkın was most recently awarded the Presidential Culture and Art Grand Prize in 2021.
